B.E.A.R. Binders

(Bring Everything Always Ready)

The B.E.A.R. (Bring Everything Always Ready) binder is a way to organize all the things we need on a day to day basis. Each child was asked to bring in a white 3-ring binder. This binder will house all of our materials needed for a successful year in third grade. Each binder will contain 5 tab dividers to organizer materials.

It is important that the B.E.A.R. Binder be treated with respect. These binders are not to be doodled on and every effort should be taken to keep them clean and in tip-top shape. This is an important communication piece and students will be using these binders all year. Let's take pride in our B.E.A.R. Binder.

The B.E.A.R. binder is to travel to and from school daily. It is the child's responsibility to share the B.E.A.R. Binder with his/her parents each night.

  • Front Cover
Each child will receive a cover sheet for the front sleeve of the B.E.A.R. Binder.

  • Front Pocket
The front inside pocket will contain school/home correspondence.

  • Tabbed Dividers
    First Tab: Homework
    Second Tab: Reading Log
    Third Tab: Spelling/Vocabulary
    Fourth Tab: Study Guides
    Fifth Tab: Paper

  • All papers go in the B.E.A.R. Binder. There should be NO loose papers in your desk at any time.
  • Take the B.E.A.R. Binder home with you each night and bring it to school with you each day.
  • Share the B.E.A.R. Binder with your parents each night.
  • Have your parents sign your homework agenda sheet and conduct log each night (this is your responsibility; not your parents).
  • Remove papers from the "Front Inside Pocket" of the Communication Folder each night.
  • Treat the B.E.A.R. Binder with respect.
  • Keep the B.E.A.R. Binder safe and clean at all times (do not draw or doodle on the binder).
